ST. CHARLES, Mo., April 10, 2016 – Individual event champions were crowned today at the 2016 USA Gymnastics Women’s Collegiate National Championships at Hyland Arena in St. Charles, Mo., as the competition wrapped up. The top spots on each event went to Maria Hundley of Seattle Pacific University, vault; Jessica Wang of Yale University, balance beam; Christine Liataud of the University of Bridgeport, uneven bars; and Randi Cutolo of Bridgeport and Ariana Harger of Seattle Pacific, floor exercise.

In the vault competition, Hundley posted a 9.8500 to edge out Bridgeport’s Kimberly Stewart, who scored 9.8375. There was a tie for third between Caroline Morant of Brown and Malia Mackey of Cornell University at 9.8250.

Wang scored a 9.8750 on the balance beam to take the crown. Hundley and Kristi Hayashida of Seattle Pacific shared second place with matching 9.8500 scores.

Liataud posted a 9.8500 to take the uneven bars title. Morant and Hundley were right behind in a second place tie at 9.8250.

In the final event of the day, Cutolo and Harger shared the floor exercise title with matching 9.9000s. There was a four-way tie for third place between Lindenwood’s Kayla McMullen and Rachel Zabawa, Brianna Comport of Bridgeport and Lauren Glover of Seattle Pacific, who each posted a 9.8750.

The USA Gymnastics Collegiate Championships is for Division I, II and III schools with less than seven-and-a-half full scholarships.
