CALI, Colombia (April 22, 2024) – Seniors Megan Chu (San Diego, Calif./Pacific Stars Rhythmic Academy) and Jaelyn Chin (Aventura, Fla./Bessonova’s school) and juniors Natalia de la Rosa (Woodland Hills, Calif./Burlo Gymnastics) and Dawn Kim (San Diego, Calif./Pacific Stars Rhythmic Academy) each went 1-2 on their respective all-around podiums Monday evening at the 2024 Pacific Rim Championships in Colombia. Chu, De La Rosa claim rhythmic all-around golds

After two days of qualifying, Chu and Chin went 1-2 in senior competition, with Chu claiming gold with a combined 126.100 and Chin silver with a 124.300. Tatiana Cocsanova of Canada won bronze with a 113.100. Yana Golovan (Las Vegas, Nev./Nevada Rhythmic Academy) had the third highest all-around score with a 114.850, but the two-per-country rule prevented her from being awarded bronze. Chu was first qualifier on clubs (31.350) and second on ribbon (29.450), while Golovan was first on ribbon (29.700) and Chin was second on clubs (30.850).

In the junior all-around, De la Rosa and Kim won gold (112.700) and silver (111.300). Again, due to the two-per-country rule, Jana Alemam of Canada took bronze with a 103.350 in spite of Isabella Chong (Mission Viejo, Calif./Burlo Gymnastics) posting the third highest all-around score of the competition with a 111.150. De la Rosa was first in clubs (28.650) and ribbon (27.600) qualifications while Chong was second on clubs (27.600) and Kim second on ribbon (26.350).
