USA Gymnastics University has added to its course offerings three new online courses.
Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) created the courses. USA Gymnastics recently added PCA as an educational partner to the USA Gymnastics University, providing members with additional coaching content through articles, videos and weekly “talking points” and coaching messages. The three courses added to the University include:
- U105 – Double-Goal CoachA A(R): Coaching for Winning and Life Lessons
- U205 – Double-Goal CoachA A(R): Culture, Practices and Games
- U305 – Double-Goal CoachA A(R): Developing Triple-Impact Competitors
The online courses are $29 and fulfill elective requirements for the School of Recreation and School of Competitive (all levels).
PCA focus is on fostering positive sports experiences and building athletes into better people. PCA’s program is geared for coaches and club owners. PCA, which got its start at the Stanford University Athletic Department in 1998, provides training for coaches that focuses not only on how to win, but also pursuing the even more important goal of teaching life lessons through sports
