Zeng wins rhythmic all-around bronze medal at 2014 Youth Olympic Games

NANJING, China, Aug. 27, 2014 – Laura Zeng of Libertyville, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics, took home the rhythmic gymnastics all-around bronze medal today at the 2014 Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China, on Aug. 27. NBC, NBCSN and Universal Sports combined for 54.5 hours of coverage of the Youth Olympic Games.

Zeng earned a 56.750 to finish third and win the bronze medal. Russia’s Irina Annenkova (58.575) and Belarus’ Maryia Trubach (56.950) finished first and second, respectively. Zeng posted scores of 14.450, hoop; 14.050, ball; 14.400, clubs; and 13.850, ribbon. Today’s competition wraps up gymnastics at the Youth Olympics.

Gymnastics was one of the sports that was featured on the nightly NBCSN coverage. The nightly programming will be similar to NBC’s traditional primetime presentation for the Olympics.
