PESARO, Italy, April 4, 2016 – Karrine Denisova of Wilmette, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center, and Laura Zeng of Libertyville, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center, each advanced to individual apparatus finals in competitions held in Pesaro, Italy, over the weekend. Denisova made the hoop and clubs finals in the Pesaro Junior International Tournament, while Zeng advanced to the clubs final in the Pesaro World Cup.

In the hoop final, Denisova finished sixth with a 15.400, while she scored a 15.200 in the clubs final to finish seventh.

Zeng, who finished 19th in the all-around standings with a 69.150, finished seventh in the clubs final, recording a 16.850. Teammate Evita Griskenas of Orland Park, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center, also participated in the World Cup and scored a 67.250 in the all-around for 28th place.

Finally, the U.S. Rhythmic Group, which consists of Kiana Eide of Northbrook, Ill.; Alisa Kano of Glencoe, Ill.; Natalie McGiffert of Northbrook, Ill.; Monica Rokhman of Northbrook, Ill.; Jennifer Rokhman of Northbrook, Ill.; and Kristen Shaldybin of Chicago, finished 16th in the all-around standings. The group trains at North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center.
