Expanding upon the success of the City Performances at the 2003 World Gymnaestrada in Lisbon, POR, the organizers for the World Gymnaestrada in Dornbirn, AUS provided top level venues for the City Performances.
The locations were selected from the towns and villages in the Vorarlberg area in order to bring the spirit if the Gymnaestrada closer to the local people.
Many of the USA groups took advantage of the City Performances to add an additional program to the WG2007 experience.
The reports were that the facilities and audiences were fantastic — a highlight for the groups.
The city venues permitted the groups to change their formal programs and to vary the length of their displays.
