INDIANAPOLIS, Sept. 6, 2018 – Members of the 2018-19 senior national team and the 2018 Pan American Championships Team, along with invited gymnasts, are attending the September camp held at EVO Athletics in Sarasota, Fla. The Pan Am squad will depart from camp for Lima, Peru, for the Senior Pan American Championships, which is the qualifier for the 2019 Pan American Games.

Under the guidance of High-performance Team Coordinator Tom Forster, the camp includes physical abilities and verification on all four events. The Pan Am Championships Team will show competition readiness, and the rest of the athletes will verify with soft landings.

The members of the Senior Pan Am Championships Team are: Carey, Eaker, Jones, McCallum and Thomas. Shchennikova is the alternate. Scheduled for Sept. 14-16, the three-day event has the men’s all-around and event finals as part of the team qualification on Sept. 14, with the women’s all-around and event finals as part of the team qualification on Sept. 15. Both the men’s and women’s team finals are on Sept. 16. The top eight teams advance to the 2019 Pan Am Games.
