2008 Olympic bronze-medalist Raj Bhavsar of Houston/Houston Gymnastics Academy successfully executed an original release move on parallel bars at the 2009 World Stars in Moscow on May 30, 2009. Prior to the event, the skill was reviewed by the FIG Men’s Technical Committee and received a preliminary E skill ranking. It is expected that the new skill will be named the Bhavsar, but will not be official until it appears in the FIG Men’s Technical Committee’s newsletter.
