PROVIDENCE, R.I. – April 11, 2014 – Diana Walters of Brown University won the all-around title at the 2014 USA Gymnastics Women’s Collegiate National Championships, held at Brown University’s Pizzitola Sports Center in Providence, R.I. Team finals start at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday, and Sunday’s individual event finals are scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.

The schools advancing to the team finals, along with their semifinal scores, are: Session 1, – U.S. Air Force Academy (193.800) and University of Bridgeport (193.625); and Session 2 – Texas Woman’s University (195.375) and Seattle Pacific University (194.275). The semifinal scores for the remaining schools are: Brown University, 193.775;Lindenwood University, 192.900; Cornell University, 191.950; and Temple University, 190.750

Walters won the all-around title with her 38.900. the U.S. Air Force Academy’s Linnaea was second with 38.825 points. Walters’ teammate Michelle Shnayder was third at 38.725.

The schools competing in the team competition are: University of Bridgeport, Cornell University, Lindenwood University, U.S. Air Force Academy, Temple University, Seattle Pacific University, Brown University and Texas Woman’s University.

Schools with athletes competing for an event or all-around title only are: Centenary College, Southern Connecticut State University, West Chester University, University of Pennsylvania and Yale University.

Bridgeport has won the team title the last four years, and tied with Cornell in 2009.

The USA Gymnastics Collegiate Championships is for Division I, II and III schools with less than seven-and-a-half full scholarships.
