INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 3, 2023) – USA Gymnastics’ 2023 Development Program Level 9 Eastern and Western National Championships will see the best Level 9 women’s artistic gymnasts in each region vie for national titles May 4-7. The Eastern Championships will take place in Kissimmee, Fla., while the Western Championships are set for Boise, Idaho.

The Western Championships include athletes in Regions 1-4 and will be held at Idaho Central Arena. Regions are determined by state: Region 1 – Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah; Region 2 – Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington; Region 3 – Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Wyoming; Region 4 – Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin. The Eastern Championships will be hosted at the Silver Spurs Arena at Osceola Heritage Park, with gymnasts from Regions 5-8 competing. Regions are comprised of these states: Region 5 – Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio; Region 6 – Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont; Region 7 – Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia; Region 8 – Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee. All-around and individual event winners will be determined in 16 age groups on both the junior and senior levels (Jr. 1-8; Sr. 1-8). The top seven all-around athletes from each region will compete as a Regional Team for team titles. Regional Team results will be determined by the top four scores per apparatus and all members of the first and second place team will receive a team award. Regions are represented here in map form.
