Indianapolis, Ind. – Following the fourth Olympic preparation camp of 2000, USA Gymnastics has invited seventeen athletes to the “A” squad training camp, May 13-17, in Huntsville, Texas.
“It is important that we work extremely hard at this camp since we are moving closer to the busy summer of competition,” said Bela Karolyi, National Team Coordinator. “Many gymnasts have competed internationally since our last training camp so I am anxious to see the improvements that have been made.”
The following gymnasts will be evaluated May 11-12. If the gymnast meets established requirements, she will be added to the “A” squad camp beginning the next day.
