Indianapolis, Ind. – Following the third national team training camp of 2000, USA Gymnastics has invited fifteen athletes to the next training camp, April 8-13, in Huntsville, Texas. The list of athletes attending includes:

  • Sierra Sapunar (Wyoming, Ohio)
  • Tasha Schwikert (Las Vegas, Nev.)

The April national team training camp will serve as selection for the 2000 Senior Pacific Alliance Team. The Senior Pacific Alliance Championships are April 20-25, in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Following evaluation at the recent “B” training camp, Dominique Moceanu (Cincinnati, Ohio) and Lindsay Wing (Washington D.C.) have been invited to the May training camp based on improved conditioning and skill level.
“I see improvement in all the gymnasts, but there are still certain areas we must focus on,” said Bela Karolyi, National Team Coordinator. “Both Moceanu and Wing have made remarkable progress and will be competitive with national team members at the May camp.”
