GENEVA, May 26, 2017 – The U.S. women’s group of Sophie Gruszka, Livermore, Calif./West Coast Training Center; Morgan Sweeney, Livermore, Calif./West Coast Training Center; and Amanda Waterson, Livermore, Calif./West Coast Training Center, won the silver medal at the Geneva (Switzerland) World Cup.

The U.S. trio scored a 27.770 in the finals for second place. China’s Duan Yushan, Ji Qiuqiong and Liu Jieyu won the gold with a 28.610 while Russia’s Polina Galanova, Viktoria Kuriavtseva and Alina Petrova earned the bronze with a 26.420.

2016 World silver medalists Axel Osborne, Beaumont, Calif./Realis Gymnastics Academy, and Tiffani Williams, Moreno Valley, Calif./Realis Gymnastics Academy, placed fifth in the mixed pair division. Aisley Boynton, Riverside, Calif./Realis Gymnastics Academy, and Maxim Sedochenkoff, Riverside, Calif./Realis Gymnastics Academy, also represented Team USA in the mixed pair competition and came in sixth. Portugal’s Joao Martins and Carolina Dias won the gold with a 29.980.
