Kerri Strug and Shannon Miller, teammates on the 1996 Olympic Team that won the womens team gold medal, joined forces to promote the 2011 AT&T American Cup, which is scheduled for March 5 at the Jacksonville (Fla.) Veterans Memorial Auditorium. Strug, who is based in Washington, D.C., and Miller, who lives in Jacksonville, made several media appearances, including with Mike Prangley, the Channel 12 meteorologist. Strug also visited three local area gym clubs during her visit. The 2011 AT&T American Cup, the United States most prestigious all-around international invitational, is a part of the International Gymnastic Federations all-around World Cup series.

Kohei Uchimura and Aliya Mustafina, the 2010 World all-around champions, and the USAs Jonathan Horton, 2010 World all-around bronze medalist, and Alexandra Raisman, 2010 World all-around finalist, headline the impressive field for the AT&T American Cup
