CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., April 10, 2021 – Host Southeast Missouri State took the team title at the 2021 USA Gymnastics Women’s Collegiate National Championships held Saturday at the Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo., behind a top all-around performance by sophomore Dahlia Solorzano-Caruso. The competition will continue tomorrow with individual event finals. ESPN+ will air the action live at 2 p.m. ET.

Team competition
The runner-up Lindenwood Lions were unable to defend their 2019 crown, falling to the victorious Redhawks who posted season-high scores on vault and beam en route to their first championship. This is only the third year Southeast Missouri State athletes have participated at the USA Gymnastics Collegiate National Championships and the first year the school qualified a full team. The United States Air Force Academy, Texas Woman’s University and Centenary College rounded out the 2021 field. Team scores are below.

All-around competition
Solorzano-Caruso took the top individual honor of the day with a combined 39.225. Daija Stevenson of the United States Air Force Academy finished second with a 38.550 followed by Centenary’s Kendall Sanders with a 38.150. All-around scoring for the top-three finishers is broken down below.
