INDIANAPOLIS, June 4, 2012 –Savannah Vinsant of Lafayette, La./T&T Express, became the first USA woman to medal at a World Cup in trampoline since 1996. Vinsant, who is the current trampoline Olympic selection leader, won a bronze medal at the 2012 Taiyuan World Cup in China, which took place over the weekend.

Vinsant scored a 53.125 to finish third. China’s Dan Li and Wenna He took first and second, respectively, with scores of 56.190 and 55.975. Jennifer Parilla was the last U.S. woman to win a World Cup medal; she was the silver medalist at a World Cup in Frankfurt, Germany, in 1996.

Other top finishes include Dakota Earnest of Plains, Texas/Acrospirits and Alaina Williams of Norman, Okla./Acrospirits, who took fourth place in women’s synchro; and Michael Devine of Winnebago, Ill./J and J Tumbling and Trampoline, and Jeffrey Gluckstein of Atlantic Highlands, N.J./ETA, who finished fifth in men’s synchro. Jeffrey and Steven Gluckstein, both of Atlantic Highlands, N.J./ETA, competed in individual men’s trampoline event finals. Steven finished fifth and Jeffrey was eighth.
