STUTTGART, Germany, Dec. 1, 2013 – 2012 Olympian John Orozco of the Bronx, N.Y./Team Hilton HHonors (U.S. Olympic Training Center), finished fifth in the all-around at the DTB World Cup, which is part of the International Gymnastics Federation’s all-around World Cup series. He posted an 88.599 total.

Orozco and Elizabeth Price of Coopersburg, Pa./Parkettes, are scheduled to compete at the Glasgow World Cup on Dec. 7 in Glasgow, Great Britain.

Orozco came out of the gates with three scores of 15.000 or better. He posted a 15.100 on the floor exercise, a 15.266 on the pommel horse and a 15.200 on the still rings. In the fourth rotation, he moved to the vault where he scored 14.800. An error on the parallel bars, where he is the reigning World bronze medalist, gave him a 14.233. In the final rotation, he scored a 14.000 on the high bar.

Ukraine’s Oleg Verniaiev, 92.165, took the title followed by Fabian Hambuchen of Germany, 90.264, and Daniel Purvis of Great Britain, 89.931.

Yesterday, defending champion Price won her second straight title at the DTB World Cup, defeating Romanian Larisa Iordache
