The first day of the 2013 NCATA Championships saw Oregon win 12 event titles on Thursday, April 25 at the TD Bank Sports Center in Hamden, Conn. Quinnipiac claimed two individual titles, Baylor also claimed two individual titles, while Fairmont State and Azusa Pacific each had one.


For the first time in NCATA history, three teams finished tied for an event. In the twisting pyramid, Quinnipiac, Oregon and Azusa Pacific each posted a score of 9.85 and shared the title of the second heat. The Bobcats made it two straight, when the squad scored a 9.90 in the release pyramid and shared the title with Oregon who posted the same score.
