On Tuesday, Sept. 29, Nastia Liukin, Nadia Comaneci and Bart Conner visited Hermes Gymnastic Association at Frederiksberg in Copenhagen while in Denmark as part of the Chicago 2016 Olympic bid delegation. The 2008 Olympic all-around champion and 10 time world medalist spoke to the athletes, gave advice, and signed autographs.
Denmark gymnast, Lerche Andersen, remarked to a local television station that she and the other gymnasts at Hermes were inspired by Liukin’s advise and her performance at the Olympic Games.
Liukin and the rest of the delegation will continue to explore Denmark in support of Chicago’s 2016 bid campaign until the IOC congress and host city announcement on Friday, Oct. 2.
