New requirement for participation in sanctioned competition

Club Owners prepare now for the 2013-2014 Coaching Certification requirement by having all your coaching staff take the U100 Fundamentals of Gymnastics Instruction (Free to members). Coaches with experience are encouraged to pre place to a higher level.

Upcoming additions to the 2013-2014 Rules and Policies (effective 8/1/2013)

Requirement for participation in a USA Gymnastics Sanctioned competition in 2013-14

NEW:

Professional Members coaching at sanctioned competition: a Minimum certification level of Instructor Certified in the School of Competitive Gymnastics; USA Gymnastics University must be achieved, (i.e. Instructor, Junior Olympic Development, Junior Olympic Team or National is acceptable).
- This can be achieved by:
  - Completion of U100 Fundamentals of Gymnastics Instruction earning "Instructor" certification.
- And/or
  - Pre Placement in USA Gymnastics University: (for experienced professionals only)
  - Pre Placement School of Competitive: Women’s – PDF | Online
  - Pre Placement School of Competitive: Men’s – PDF | Online
  - Pre Placement School of Competitive: Trampoline and Tumbling – PDF | Online
  - Pre Placement School of Competitive: Gymnastics For All – PDF | Online
  - Pre Placement School of Competitive: Rhythmic – PDF | Online
  - Pre Placement School of Competitive: Acrobatic – PDF | Online
Professional Members judging at sanctioned competition: Judging Certification/Rating appropriate to the highest competitive level you are officiating. (This requirement has already been in place)
Professional Members acting in a meet director capacity (at women’s and acro competitions): Meet Director Certification (This requirement has already been in place)
