April 1, 2014 – 2014 AT&T American Cup champions Sam Mikulak of Corona del Mar, Calif./University of Michigan, and Elizabeth Price of Coopersburg, Pa./Parkette’s Gymnastics, have been nominated for the U.S. Olympic Committee’s March Female and Male Athletes of the Month, respectively. Price and Mikulak both won the all-around titles at the 2014 AT&T American Cup, held March 1 in Greensboro, N.C. Price performed an Amanar vault for a score of 15.700 – the highest score in any event in the women’s competition. With the win, Price secured at least a share of the FIG World Cup all-around series title. Mikulak earned a 15.666 with his floor routine and performed a Kolman catch-and-release to earn a score of 14.900 and secure the title.
