COTTBUS, Germany, February 24, 2022 – After the first day of competition, Brody Malone (Belfast, Tenn./Stanford University) has earned a place in the pommel horse and still rings finals at the 2022 FIG Apparatus World Cup in Cottbus, Germany. The 2021 World bronze medalist on horizontal bar will attempt to qualify to the parallel bars and high bar finals tomorrow, beginning at 10:30 a.m. ET.

His 14.033 on pommel horse and 13.533 on rings landed him in the fifth and eighth positions, respectively, on Day 1. Kazakhstan’s Nariman Kurbanov (15.266) led the way on pommel horse, while Turkey’s Adem Asil (14.533) advanced in the top spot on still rings.
