On December 12, 2009 Olympic all-around champion Nastia Liukin of Parker, Texas, held her annual toy drive at WOGA in Plano, Texas. This year, all of the donated toys benefited the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots campaign. Fans of all ages donated new, unwrapped toys and received an autograph from Liukin to help bring a Merry Christmas to needy children across North Texas.
Boxes were overflowing with stuffed animals, trucks, games, dolls and more, which were delivered to the Marines in time to distribute before Christmas Day. Philanthropy is a true passion of Liukin’s, and the Toys for Tots drive was a heartwarming way to give back to the community this holiday season.
