ZIBO CITY, China, April 8, 2012 – 2011 World team bronze-medalist Steven Legendre of Port Jefferson, N.Y./Team Hilton HHonors (University of Oklahoma), tied for a share of the floor exercise title and won the vault silver medal Sunday at the China World Cup in Zibo City, China. 

On the floor exercise, Legendre executed a piked Hypolito and stuck an Arabian double pike dismount to score 15.450. He shared the gold medal with Romania’s Flavius Koczi, while Israel’s Alexander Shatilov won the bronze.

Later, Legendre earned a two-vault average of 15.687 to win the silver medal behind Ukraine’s Igor Radivilov, who posted a 16.125. Koczi finished in third.
 
Danell Leyva of Miami/Team Hilton HHonors (Universal Gymnastics) scored 13.175 on the horizontal bar, finishing fourth. China’s Zhang Chenglong won the event title.
 
Other event winners were: pommel horse, Krisztian Berki of Hungary, 15.750; still rings, Chen Yibing of China, 15.925; and parallel bars, Feng Zhe of China, 15.700.
