LAKE PLACID, N.Y., June 4, 2015 – Nine U.S. National Team members are among the rhythmic gymnasts competing in this weekend’s 2015 Rhythmic National Qualifier at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, N.Y. Based on performances at the Qualifier, 25 junior/hopes and 16 senior gymnasts will advance to the USA Gymnastics Championships, the discipline’s national championships, June 24-28 at the Greensboro (N.C.) Coliseum Complex.

The nine national team members are: seniors – Brigita Budginas of Agoura Hills, Calif./Burlo Gymnastics, Heather Chan of South Pasadena, Calif./Isadora, Camilla Feeley of Lincolnshire, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center, and Gabrielle Lowenstein of Huntington Beach, Calif./Eurogymnastics; and juniors – Nastasya Generalova of Los Angeles/California Rhythms, Evita Griskenas of Orland Park, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center, Nicole Kaloyanov of Woodbridge, Va./Gymnastics World, Ekatherina Kapitonova of Staten Island, N.Y./Isadora, and Lilia Tamkovitch of Philadelphia/Iliana Rhythmic Gymnastics.

8:30 a.m.-12:40 p.m. – Level 9 juniors and hopes
1:30-7:10 p.m. – Level 9 juniors and seniors and Level 10 seniors
8-9:40 p.m. – Level 10 seniors

Sunday, June 7
8:30 a.m.-12:40 p.m. – Level 9 juniors and hopes
1:30-7:10 p.m. – Level 9 juniors and seniors and Level 10 seniors
8-9:40 p.m. – Level 10 seniors

Tickets for the 2015 USA Gymnastics Championships, the national championships for acrobatic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, and trampoline, are on sale. The five-day competition includes both Junior Olympic and elite levels and is one of the national championships held annually by USA Gymnastics.
