MONTREAL, Canada, Jan. 28, 2011 – U.S. junior Jazzy Kerber of Highland Park, Ill., won four medals including the junior clubs title and a third place finish in the all-around at the 2011 Montreal Rhythmic Gymnastics International Invitational, held in the Centre Pierre Charbonneau sports hall in Montreal, Canada.

Kerber, who trains at North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center, earned four medals in her first international competition of 2011. With a score of 90.850, Kerber claimed the bronze medal in the junior all-around. Kseniya Cheldishkina of Belarus won the all-around with a 93.425, and Patricia Bezzubenko of Canada took the silver medal with a 93.200.

Kerber scored a 23.675 to win the clubs title, ahead of Cheldishkina (23.300) and Bezzubenko (22.450). She won silver on hoop with a 23.750, behind Cheldishkina (23.900) and in front of Bezzubenko, who finished third (23.100). She also earned the bronze on ribbon, recording a 22.750. Bezzubenko took the gold (23.825) and Cheldishkina the silver (23.500). She finished sixth in ball (20.672).

Cindy Lu of Blaine, Minn./Twin Cities Rhythmic, also competed for the United States. Lu recorded a 79.675 to tie Canada’s Valery Passechny for seventh in the all-around. She finished seventh in hoop (20.700) and ribbon (20.625), eighth on clubs (19.300) and tenth on ball (19.050).
