IGC will be the exclusive summer gymnastics camp identified as an event partner for the Visa Championships, which are the national championships for USA Gymnastics.

“IGC has been a valuable member of the gymnastics community for many years, and this increased involvement is an extension of the commitment that IGC and the Klaus family have to growing the sport,” said Steve Penny, president of USA Gymnastics. “Event partners like IGC are important for the overall success of the championships, and we are glad to have them on board in Hartford.”

This event partnership is an expansion of a long-time relationship between IGC and USA Gymnastics, which includes advertising in USA Gymnastics and Technique magazines, and past support at major events, including the USA Gymnastics National Congress and Trade Show and the Hall of Fame Induction Luncheon.

Background on the Visa Championships
In 2010, the Visa Championships visit Connecticut for the first time. The event features four of USA Gymnastics’ competitive disciplines – men’s and women’s gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics and trampoline and tumbling. The Visa Championships determine the U.S. champions and the national team for each discipline for both the junior and senior elite levels. NBC Sports and Universal Sports will broadcast and webcast the action from the men’s and women’s gymnastics competitions.

Men’s and women’s gymnastics will be held at the XL Center, with rhythmic gymnastics and trampoline and tumbling scheduled for the University of Hartford’s Chase Arena at the Reich Family Pavilion. Visa is the only card accepted for the 2010 Visa Championships.

The USA Gymnastics National Congress and Trade Show, held in conjunction with the Visa Championships, will be conducted at the Connecticut Convention Center.
