Heinen adds to USA’s World Age Group Competition medal haul

ODENSE, Denmark, Dec. 4, 2015 – Ellen Heinen of Lafayette, La./Trampoline and Tumbling Express, won the silver medal in age 13-14 trampoline at the 2015 Trampoline and Tumbling World Age Group Competition, held at Sparekassen Fyn Arena in Odense, Denmark. Competition continues through Sunday.

Heinen, who qualified in eighth position, scored a 50.320 in the finals to take the silver medal. Russia’s Iana Lebedeva won the gold with a 52.455 while her teammate Ekaterina Fetkulina took home the bronze, scoring 49.730.

Fans can watch the competition live on via gymdanmark.dk. Each competition day has both prelims and finals for differing age groups in all four events. The general schedule is prelims and finals for the events and age groups for both boys and girls, listed by day: Dec 5 – 15-16 trampoline, 17-18 tumbling, 11-12 double-mini and 13-14 synchro; and Dec. 6 – 17-18 trampoline, 11-12 tumbling, 13-14 double-mini, and 15-16 synchro.
