WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (July 30, 2022) – Jayla Hang (Bellevue, Wash./Pacific Reign Gymnastics) captured two gold medals Saturday as the junior women’s competition wrapped at Maverik Center. Hang delivered a 14.150 on vault in the final rotation to catapult into the top junior all-around spot, simultaneously securing the vault championship. Her combined 52.800 just nosed all-around runner-up Hezly Rivera (Plano, Texas/WOGA Gymnastics), whose 52.450 had topped the field on the first night of split-session competition. First State Gymnastics’ Audrey Snyder (Annapolis, Md.) was third with a 51.450.

Rivera’s 13.650 on balance beam led all competitors, while Kieryn Finnell (Pittsford, N.Y./Rochester Gymnastics Academy) and Madray Johnson (Dallas, Texas/WOGA Gymnastics) shared the uneven bars crown with matching scores of 13.250. Annalisa Milton (Lee’s Summit, Mo./Great American Gymnastics Express) topped the floor exercise podium with a 13.250.

The U.S. Classic continues later today with the senior women’s competition, which will air live on CNBC at 7 p.m. ET and will also stream on Peacock. Junior and senior men are set to close out the four-day event Sunday with a pair of sessions beginning at 2:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. ET, respectively.
