LAKE PLACID, N.Y., May 16, 2016 – Evita Griskenas of Orlando, Park, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center, won the senior all-around title yesterday at the Rhythmic National Qualifier at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, N.Y. The top 23 junior and 13 senior all-around finishers advanced to the USA Gymnastics Championships scheduled for June 8 – 13 at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center and Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence, R.I.

Griskenas topped the standings with total of 68.400 highlighted by the top scores in hoop (17.600) and ball (17.800). Heather Chan of New York City, N.Y./Isadora, finished second in the all-around at 66.900, and Ekatherina Kapitonova of Staten Island, N.Y./Isadora, was third (65.450).

In total, 25 juniors and 20 senior rhythmic gymnasts are qualified to the USA Gymnastics Championships. In addition to the top 23 junior and 13 senior all-around finishers, Brigita Budginas of Agoura Hills, Calif, Burlo Gymnastics, Camilla Feeley of Lincolnshire, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center, Nastasya Generalova of Los Angeles, Calif/ California Rhythms, Nicole Kaloyanov of Woodbridge, Va./Gymnastics World, Serena Lu of Staten Island, N.Y./Isadora, Aliya Protto of Culver City, Calif./California Rhythms, and Laura Zeng of Libertyville, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center, previously qualified to the USA Gymnastics Championships based on their participation in international assignments earlier this year.
