EVERETT, Wash., March 26, 2017 – Individual apparatus titles were decided last night at the USA Gymnastics Men’s Collegiate National Championships at the Walt Price Student Fitness Center at Everett Community College in Everett, Wash.

On Friday, U.S. Air Force Academy notched its eighth-consecutive varsity division team title while Arizona State claimed its 11th-consecutive Collegiate Club Division team crown. All-around honors went to Air Force’s Timothy Wang for the varsity division and the University of Washington’s Nathan Tsuji for the club division.

In Saturday’s event finals, Arizona State University’s Riley Ward took top honors on the floor with a 14.650, followed by teammate Zack Mollett, and the University of Washington’s Nathan Tsuji. Ward also took the title on still rings with Air Force’s Timothy Wang and Washington’s Nicholas Kano in second and third, respectively. On the pommel horse, Wang took the title, posting a 14.100. Mollett was the silver medalist, with William and Mary’s Robert Meyer rounding out the podium.

Navy’s Lucas Beltran posted a 14.750 to win the vault crown ahead of Wang and ASU’s Anthony Mills. Meyer earned the top spot for parallel bars with a 14.300, followed by Air Force teammates Jonathon Fornoff and Wang. Benjamin Provost of Navy scored 13.350 to win the high bar final with William and Mary’s Aria Sabbagh in second and Wang in third.

At the men’s USA Gymnastics Collegiate Championships, the team competition is divided into two categories, varsity and collegiate. The varsity competition is for Division I, II or III, four-year institutions with gymnastics as a varsity sport that provide two or less full scholarships as well as the military academies, and the collegiate team category is for two-year or four-year degree-granting schools with gymnastics as a club sport.
