DeMeo, Whitcomb selected to compete in 2006 Top Gym Competition

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – 2006 U.S. Junior National Team members Sarah DeMeo of Overland Park, Kansas, and Cassie Whitcomb of Cincinnati, Ohio, will represent the United States in the 2006 Top Gym Competition, Nov. 24-25, in Charleroi, Belgium.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – 2006 U.S. Junior National Team members Sarah DeMeo of Overland Park, Kansas, and Cassie Whitcomb of Cincinnati, Ohio, will represent the United States in the 2006 Top Gym Competition, Nov. 24-25, in Charleroi, Belgium.

DeMeo, who trains at Great American Gymnastics Express, is an eighth grader at Blue Valley Middle School. Earlier this year, she won the junior balance beam title at the U.S. Classic and finished seventh in the junior all-around at the 2006 Visa Championships.

Whitcomb, who trains at Cincinnati Gymnastics Academy, is an eighth grader at Ohio Connections Academy. In the junior division earlier this year, she finished sixth on the uneven bars at the Visa Championships, where she was also 11th in the all-around.
