TEMPE, Ariz. – Juliette Boyer led the way in the all-around and Jessica Ginn scored the team’s first 9.900 of the year as No. 14 Arizona State gymnastics earned a 194.600 in the 2020 home opener on Saturday against No. 1 Oklahoma (197.675).

ATHENS, Ga. — Freshman Soraya Hawthorne, sophomore Rachael Lukacs, and senior Sabrina Vega scored three consecutive 9.950’s on floor to close the meet with a 196.100 for the University of Georgia gymnastics team in front of a sold out crowd in Stegeman Coliseum on Friday night.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida opened 2020 season and Southeastern Conference action with a 197.35-194.40 win versus Arkansas in front of 7,531 at the Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center.

LOS ANGELES – On the strength of a show-stopping floor exercise set, No. 3 UCLA won its home opener over Boise State, 196.800-195.475.

WEST VALLEY CITY – The State of Utah was in for a treat Saturday night at the Maverik Center when the four in-state Division I gymnastics programs clashed at the Rio Tinto Best of Utah NCAA Gymnastics meet.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The University of Michigan women’s gymnastics team opened the 2020 season with a come-from-behind win over Washington and Texas Woman’s University on Friday (Jan. 10) in front of 2,534 fans.

#7 Denver 196.750, #14 Minnesota 196.475 – Jan. 12, 2020
DENVER – The No. 2-ranked University of Denver women’s gymnastics team scored a 196.750 in its home opener to top visiting Minnesota (196.475) on Sunday in Magness Arena.

#9 Cal 194.950, Stanford 194.700, San Jose State 193.850, UC Davis 193.550 – Jan. 12, 2020
DAVIS, Calif. — Sophomore Cortney Cunningham posted career highs on both vault and floor exercise while junior co-captain Kelley Hebert nabbed a share of first place on floor, highlighting UC Davis action at its own NorCal Classic women’s gymnastics meet Sunday afternoon.

AUBURN, Ala. – It was an electric night in Auburn Arena Friday as the No. 16 Auburn gymnastics team put together a 196.625-196.025 victory over rival and No. 10 Alabama, downing the Crimson Tide in front of a sellout crowd.

#11 Oregon State 195.325, Seattle Pacific 189.525, Centenary 182.625 – Jan. 11, 2020
CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State gymnastics team, ranked No. 15 entering the weekend, earned wins over Seattle Pacific and Centenary in dominating fashion Saturday afternoon at Gill Coliseum.

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Following a top-10 performance on the road to kick off the season, No. 10 Kentucky continued its hot start in its 2020 home opener with a 196.525-195.500 win over No. 8 Missouri in front of 11,952 fans on Excite Night at Rupp Arena on Friday.

BYU 195.750, #15 Nebraska 195.600 – Jan. 6, 2020
PROVO, Utah – The No. 23 BYU gymnastics team took down No. 15 Nebraska 195.750 – 195.600 for the first time since 1998 Monday night at the Marriott Center.

#15 Nebraska 196.375, Southern Utah 195.275 – Jan. 9, 2020
CEDAR CITY, Utah — The Flippin’ Birds’ gymnastics team opened their 2020 season by narrowly falling to the No. 15 Nebraska Huskers 196.375 – 195.275.

Arizona 195.950, #20 Iowa State 195.750, Rutgers 194.250, Western Michigan 191.800 – Jan. 11, 2020
TUCSON, Ariz. – The GymCats scored a 195.950 to win their home opener. Iowa State placed second with a score of 195.750, Rutgers earned third place with a score of 194.250, and Western Michigan placed fourth with a score of 191.800.


MEN’S GYMNASTICS

#1 Stanford 407.300, #11 Cal 382.850 – Jan. 11, 2020
BERKELEY – A couple of strong performances by true freshmen making their collegiate debuts highlighted the 2020 season opener for California, but Stanford defeated the Golden Bears, 407.300-382.850, at the Cal Benefit Cup inside the RSF Gymnasium on the Cal campus.

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. – A young Air Force men’s gymnastics team kicked off the 2020 season with a fourth-place finish at the annual Rocky Mountain Open this evening (Jan. 11) at the Academy’s Cadet West Gym.
