PUTIAN, China, March 29, 2016 – Aisley Boynton and Maxim Sedochenkoff, both of Riverside, Calif./Realis Gymnastics Academy, picked up the first gold medal of the 2016 Acrobatic Gymnastics World Age Group Competition for Team USA today in Putian, China. With three medals in the 11-16 age category earlier in the competition, this brings the U.S. medal haul to four.

In the 13-19 mixed pair final, Boynton and Sedochenkoff posted a 27.600 to win the gold medal ahead of Russia’s Valeriy Tukhashvili and Aleksandra Baladina, who earned a 27.300. Great Britain’s Vada Finniear and Kenedi Cross finished with a 26.810 for bronze.

  • Thalia Berry of Boerne, Texas, and Aubrey Rosilier of San Antonio, Texas/Acrobatic Gymnastics of San Antonio, women’s pair – 12-18: 26.800, fourth place.
  • Anna Blough and Brian Coffey, both of Riverside, Calif./Realis Gymnastics Academy, mixed pair – 12-18: 24.400, eighth place.
  • Sophia Handel of Annapolis, Md., Cameron Jones of Potomac, Md., and Sara Mercer of Rockville, Md./Xtreme Acro, women’s group – 12-18: 27.200, fourth place.
  • Emma Bentov-Lagman of Annapolis, Md., Cristin Connerney of Annapolis, and Lilianna Dyer of Arnold, Md./1st Class Gymnastics, women’s group – 13-19: 27.080, fourth place.
