INDIANAPOLIS, December 20, 2021 – USA Gymnastics today announced Raj Bhavsar will assume the role of Junior High Performance Coordinator for its men’s artistic program, beginning January 1, 2022. Within this newly established role, he will lead USAG’s Men’s Junior High Performance Program, oversee Junior National Team training camps and clinics, and supervise the Junior National Coaching Staff.

A 2008 Olympic bronze medalist, Bhavsar has held the title of USA Gymnastics’ Men’s Development Program Assistant since February of 2020. He was a 10-time All-American at Ohio State University and has two eponymous skills in the International Gymnastics Federation’s Code of Points.

"Raj has spent the last two years preparing for this role and has shown that he is ready to step into this key leadership position within our program," said Jason Woodnick, Vice President of USA Gymnastics’ Men’s Program. "Through his work with USAG’s Men’s Development Program, he has demonstrated a tireless work ethic and a true passion for developing high-level athletes and coaches. His vision and expertise make Raj the ideal person to lead the Men’s Junior High Performance Program into the future."

As Junior High Performance Coordinator, Bhavsar will report to Brett McClure, USAG’s Men’s High Performance Director.
