COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (March 22, 2024) – The United States Air Force Academy reclaimed the USAG Men’s Collegiate National Championship title Friday evening for the first time since 2018.

Led by all-around champion Erich Upton (Richmond, Texas), the Air Force Falcons returned to the top of the podium after winning the team crown from 2010-2018, dethroning three-time defending champion Navy.

The Falcons posted an overall score of 401.650 to top the team podium ahead of the Naval Academy in second with a 398.250. Greenville University rounded out the top three with a 390.750. Springfield College was fourth (388.350), the College of William & Mary was fifth (381.350), and Simpson College landed sixth (358.850).

Upton scored a 79.200 to lead win the all-around for Air Force. Sam Kaplan (Fairhaven, Mass./Springfield College) was the all-around silver medalist with a 77.550, with Gavin Zborowski (Arvada, Colo./William & Mary) taking bronze with a 76.150.

The Collegiate National Championships are the culmination of the collegiate season for military academies and four-year Division I, II or III institutions that sponsor gymnastics as a varsity sport and provide two or fewer full scholarships.
