SPRINGFIELD, Mass., March 26, 2016 – The U.S. Air Force Academy won its seventh straight varsity division team title at the USA Gymnastics Men’s Collegiate Championships last night inside Blake Arena on the campus of Springfield College in Springfield, Mass. Arizona State University won its 10th straight and 18th overall title in the club division.

Air Force tallied 425.350 to win the varsity title, followed by the U.S. Military Academy (413.850) and U.S. Naval Academy (412.850). In the club division, Arizona State posted a 403.650 total for the top spot. Temple Univeristy (402.25) and the University of Washington (400.650) rounded out the top three.

In the all-around competition, Air Force’s Tim Wang won the varsity division with an 88.150 total. Temple’s Jakob Welsh was the winner in the club division, posting an 82.150.

In today’s apparatus finals, Navy’s John Tang won the floor title with a 14.550. Wang added to his individual success with a win on the pommel horse, earning an impressive 15.400. Navy’s Eric Poletti was the champion on the still rings with a 14.850. On the vault, Mitch Larios of Navy took the title, scoring a 15.175. The College of William and Mary’s Rob Meyer won the parallel bars title, earning a 14.675, while the Army’s Jesse Glenn was the champion on the high bar at 14.825.
