INDIANAPOLIS, Nov. 24, 2018 – Two-time World medalist Jade Carey of Phoenix, Arizona/Arizona Sunrays, grabbed the vault silver medal at the Turnier der Meister World Cup in Cottbus, Germany. Carey will compete in the floor exercise final tomorrow at 2 p.m. local time (8 a.m. ET) on the last day of finals. Live scoring is available with live streaming also available on OlympicChannel.com. In the vault final, Carey earned a 14.633 for her first vault, a Yurchenko double full, and a 14.400 for her Yurchenko half on front layout half for a 14.516 average. Brazil’s Rebecca Andrade won the title at 14.728, and India’s Dipa Karmakar was third with 14.316.

Trevor Howard of Columbus, Ohio/Ohio State University, is the first reserve athlete for vault.

The top eight gymnasts for each event in the preliminary round advanced to the respective event finals. Sunday’s events are men’s vault, parallel bars and horizontal bar, and women’s balance beam and floor exercise.
