USA Gymnastics has established the USA Gymnastics Alumni Network, which is open to all gymnasts who have been a member of a U.S. Senior National Team for men’s gymnastics, women’s gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, acrobatic gymnastics, and trampoline and tumbling. The USA Gymnastics Alumni Network provides the opportunity for past national team members not only to stay connected with the sport of gymnastics, but also to reconnect with their peers and teammates.
“The USA Gymnastics Alumni Network has been a long time coming,” said Ron Galimore, chief operating officer of USA Gymnastics. “We recognize the importance of staying in touch with our national team members after their days of competing have ended, as well as the value of friendships that are formed while on the national team. Many former senior national team members have indicated they want to stay connected with USA Gymnastics and past teammates, and the birth of the USA Gymnastics Alumni Network is the outcome of those conversations.”
To make it easy for past national team members to become involved, the Alumni Network outreach is through Facebook with a dedicated, closed membership page, USA Gymnastics Alumni Network.
To join the conversation and the alumni group, anyone who has been a member of a U.S. Senior National Team can go to Facebook’s USA Gymnastics Alumni Network and request to be a member.
