Rhythmic National Team High Performance Training Camp

The Rhythmic National Team gathered in the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Center November 17-19 in Lake Placid, N.Y., for the annual High Performance Training Camp in preparation for the 2024 competition season.

Led by both high performance national staff and National Team coaches, 30 individual and group athletes came together for an intensive three-day immersion in work designed to develop effective training and preparation in the rhythmic-specific areas of ballet/warm-up, strength and amplitude, speed and power, body difficulties, apparatus handling together with education around hydration, fueling, sleep, periodization and bone/muscle growth.

Experts in the performance fields of artistry and expression led workshops to encourage unlocking creativity, self-expression and movement through breathwork, visualization, non-verbal communication and improvisation.

Gymnasts enjoyed a trip to Lake Placid’s Main Street and a closing celebration to decorate USA-themed cookies!
