Juniors Ly Bui (Swisher, Iowa/Great American Gymnastics Express), Claire Pease (Sunnyvale, Texas, WOGA Gymnastics) and Simone Rose (Sammamish, Wash./Pacific Reign Gymnastics) dominated at the 2023 Combs la Ville International Tournament, winning ten medals, half of them gold, in Paris, France, over the weekend.

Rose led all competitors in the all-around on Saturday for gold, scoring an overall 53.132 to top the podium ahead of teammate Pease in second (52.165) and Canada’s Zoe Tsaprailis in third (49.799). Rose posted the highest scores on uneven bars (13.266) and floor exercise (13.100), and the second highest on vault (13.700) and balance beam (13.066) to claim the gold medal. During apparatus finals, Rose also picked up gold on floor (13.033), silver on bars (12.400) and bronze on vault (13.249).

Pease contributed to five medals of the American haul, winning four individual medals Sunday in addition to the team gold. The all-around silver medalist won apparatus gold on bars (14.133) and balance beam (13.466), and also claimed silver on vault (13.283) Sunday. In the floor final, Bui scored a 12.933 right behind Rose to tack on another silver medal for the Americans.

In Saturday’s team competition, Bui, Pease and Rose won team gold with a combined 105.664 finishing well ahead of Canada in second (99.297) and host-country France in third (99.096).
