Juniors Rin Keys (Porter Ranch, Calif./Burlo Gymnastics), Megan Chu (San Diego, Calif./Pacific Stars Rhythmic Academy) and Erika Rusak (Auburn, Wash./Evergreen Rhythmics) occupy the top three spots in the all-around after Thursday’s competition at the 2023 Pan American Championships in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Keys (61.850), Chu (57.950) and Rusak (57.600) are currently first, second and third in the individual all-around after Day 1. Keys was first on both hoop (31.150) and ball (30.700), Chu second on ball (30.000) and fourth on hoop (27.950), and Rusak third on both hoop (28.400) and ball (29.200).

In group competition, Goda Balsys (Northbrook, Ill.), Annabella Hantov (Northfield, Ill.), Kristina Lee (Woodridge, Ill.), Greta Pavilonyte (Buffalo Grove, Ill.) and Alaini Spata (Glen Ellyn, Ill.) from North Shore Rhythmic ranked second in the all-around and five ropes with a 24.250. The group will compete Friday on five balls and look to overtake the Brazilian junior group, who currently sits in first (24.950) in the all-around.

Competition continues Friday with junior qualifications with all-around winners to be determined Friday afternoon. Senior athletes will take the floor for the first time beginning at 6 p.m. ET.
