The U.S. seniors won one silver and three bronze medals Sunday to close out the 2023 Rhythmic Pan American Championships in Guadalajara, Mexico.

In individual apparatus finals, Alexandria Kautzman (Simi Valley, Calif./California Rhythms) claimed silver in clubs (30.700) and bronze in ball (31.100). Brazil’s Barbara Godoy won with 31.100, and countrywoman Geovanna Santos was third with 30.450. Mexico’s Marina Malpica won ball (31.900), with and Santos second (31.600).

American Evita Griskenas (Orland Park, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center) secured hoop bronze (32.650) behind Santos (32.900) and Godoy (32.800), and the Senior National Group of Izzy Connor (Palos Verdes Estates, Calif.), Daria Merkulova (Vernon Hills, Ill.), Gergana Petkova (Barrington, Ill.), Katrine Sakhnov (Glencoe, Ill.), Karolina Saverino (Elk Grove Village, Ill.) and Hana Starkman (Deerfield, Ill.) claimed five hoops bronze (27.750) behind first-place Brazil (35.150) and second-place Mexico (31.300).

Kautzman also placed fifth in the ribbon final with a 28.600. In the three ball two ribbons final, the Senior National Group was fourth with a 24.850. Griskenas withdrew from her remaining finals due to injury.
