Reigning World team bronze medalist Yul Moldauer (Arvada, Colo./5280 Gymnastics) and 2020 Olympic floor exercise champion Jade Carey (Phoenix, Ariz./Oregon State University) are set for competition in Switzerland, with Moldauer in the 40th Memorial Arthur Gander in Morges and both competing in the Swiss Cup in Zurich.

Moldauer is up first, competing Wednesday, November 1 at the Memorial Arthur Gander for the third year in a row. Athletes will perform on four apparatus of their choosing and compete on one per qualifying round. After three rounds, the top six gymnasts will advance to the final for their last routine, and the highest cumulative score will take all. The 2021 Gander champion and 2022 silver medalist, Moldauer’s competition will include 2020 Olympic team silver medalist and pommel horse bronze medalist Kazuma Kaya of Japan and 2023 Pan American Games all-around and floor gold medalist Felix Dolci of Canada.

Moldauer and Carey will compete as a pair at the 40th annual Swiss Cup in Zurich this Sunday, November 5. Moldauer teamed with Addison Fatta (Wrightsville, Pa./Prestige Gymnastics) to win in 2022, with Carey taking the 2019 title with Allan Bower. The competition will take on a knock-out round format, with the last two teams being eliminated after the first rotation and the bottom four after the second. Once the final four pairs are determined, scores will reset, and the top teams will continue to go head-to-head until a winner is crowned. Teams expected to compete in Zurich alongside the U.S. include Switzerland, Japan, Germany, France, Italy, Austria and Turkey.
