Olympian Lili Mizuno (Northbrook, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics) won four medals, two gold, at the 2023 Pharaoh’s Cup in Cairo, Egypt.

On the final day of competition in Egypt, Mizuno claimed ball and ribbon gold, and hoop and clubs silver during apparatus finals. Her 31.300 on ball placed her ahead of Egyptian athletes Aliaa Saleh and Abeer Ramadan, who were first and second with a 28.900 and 28.600. In Sunday’s ribbon final, Mizuno posted a 29.050 for gold ahead of Poland’s Emilia Heichel in second with a 28.950 and Saleh in third with a 26.100.

On hoop, Mizuno claimed silver (29.800) behind first place Heichel (30.950) and ahead of third place Patricija Pavlenko (28.500) of Latvia. She also secured clubs silver with a 28.700, bested only by Heichel with a 31.950. Angola’s Luana Gomes was third with a 28.600. The event in Cairo did not feature all-around competition.

Mizuno is expected to compete at the upcoming 2023 USA Gymnastics Championships June 22-24 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
