COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Nearly 90 men’s artistic athletes and their coaches were in Colorado Springs over the weekend for USA Gymnastics’ 2023 Future Stars National Championships and coaches workshop.
The Future Stars Championships ran in conjunction with a coaches’ and parents’ workshop and a development clinic for athletes. Athletes ranging from 10-12 years old competed against gymnasts in their age group on each of the six men’s apparatus plus trampoline, strength, and flexibility.
The 2023 Future Stars National Championships will be the last edition of the event to be held in Colorado Springs. The program will be included as part of the regular men’s artistic domestic season beginning in 2025.
Following competition on Friday, the 2023-24 Junior Development Team was announced. Twenty-five athletes were also selected to attend the 2024 Men’s Development Team Camp based on event results.
