Marian Twining-Barone was a multi-sport athlete whose athleticism paid off as her career was adorned with Olympic and AAU medals.
A diverse gymnast, Twining-Barone won medals in five separate events at the AAU National Championships over three years, including silvers on the vault and all-around. Aside from her single Olympic appearance, Twining-Barone was a four-time National Basketball Throw Champion.
Following her athletic career, Twining-Barone coached at the collegiate level at Marshall and Temple.
