Les Sasvary

Hungarian-born Les Sasvary made a career as a judge and made a legacy as a lifetime contributor to the sport of competitive gymnastics. Sasvary judged five Olympics and dozens of international meets, but his main contribution to the sport came as an administrator to various judges’ organizations.

He served as editor/translator for the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) Code of Points as well as a number of articles published in magazines from 1978-1990. He acted as Executive Director of the National Gymnastics Judges Association, Inc. from 1977–84 and Vice President of the United States Gymnastics Federation from 1977-83.
