Adolph Picker

Adolph Picker, who was believed to be an exemplary gymnast in Germany before emigrating to the U.S. at 22, remained close to the sport his entire life. Picker was an administrator for the NAAU for more than 30 years while simultaneously judging at the highest levels for more than five decades.

His career highlights include judging the 1952 Men’s Olympic Team Trials, instructing at the Newark, N.J., Turnverein, representing the South Atlantic AAU Association as well as the Baltimore Turners at the NAAU, and receiving the AAU Veterans Award.
