Clara Schroth Lomady’s career is best defined by her record 38 National AAU Championships, including 10 straight on the balance beam. Her last of 38 AAU medals came in 1952 at age 32. She was a two-time Olympian, her first trip as a member of the 1948 bronze medal team in London. Lomady was a Frederick Centurion for outstanding contributions to her sport.
